The Ankeny Academy of Music is about to enter its 12th year bringing “Music for Life” opportunities to Ankeny and all of its surrounding cities, towns, and areas! A 501c3 non-profit Community School of Music, the Academy offers music instruction—instrumental and vocal—for all ages, early childhood to adults and seniors. To learn more about our unique classes: Pre-Piano, designed for 6-year-olds, or Creative Musicianship organized by school grade and age-group and available to the non-registered students—press a key to the left. The keys to the left also provide more information about the Iowa Youth Chorus, which meets North Area 8 to 14 year-old students in the Academy Choir Room –Suite 206, Neveln Center, and our At-Risk Youth and Language Delay classes, available according to need. Other keys inform about the Academy’s free Life Long Learning classes – shared with and held in the meeting room of the Kirkendall Library – and invite you to enjoy fine public concerts with faculty and guest artists, usually held in the Neveln Center, Ankeny’s wonderful 501c3 Resource Center, where the Academy is located.
